The Caspian tiger
The Caspian tiger is also known as the Persian tiger and was known to be a beautiful animal, thought it is thought to have become extinct by the late 1950s. The Caspian tiger was the second largest tiger. The body of this specie was quite big and long with strong legs, big paws and large claws. The ears were short and small. It was very furry on his cheeks, and the fur on the rest of the body was very thick. The colour is like the colour of the Bengal tiger. The skin is yellow-gold colour and black stripes some species have brown stripes. The chest and abdomen was white with yellow stripes, while it’s face area was yellow with brown stripes on the forehead and white bits around the eyes and cheeks. In winter, the hair is very long. The Caspian tiger was known to inhabit Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Caucasus, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The species seemed to adapt well to different climates and different type of food.
