IN MY GRANDPARENTS TIME...
In my grandparents time people didn't live in high buildings with running water, electric lights, heating... They live without computers, television, washingmachine, dish wacher, freach, vacuum... All these means more complications in their every day life. There wasn't electricity, so people cooked with coal ovens and in winter they heated up with chimney fire. In families were often 5 or 6 members but in the city, houses were smaller. Shcools were very different too, many children didn't go to school or they go but for a short time, because befor, school wasn't obligatory. Then boys and girls were separed, they had to wear uniform, teachers were more strict and the shcool norms were harder. At that time there were no cars, and workers had to go to work walking or by tram. Before people didn't go on holiday and they didn't travel to other countries because it was very expensive. In families the man was who works while the woman takes care of the house and the children. Now it's all different, you can thing it is better or worse, but this is.
